The Wireless Media Stick™ is a patented technology (Patent Pending and World P.C.T) that streams media files from any computer connected to a home/office wireless network to any USB enabled media playback device.
Simply share your files from any computer within your home/work wireless network, plug the Wireless Media Stick™ into the USB port of your playback device and stream your media instantly. The Wireless Media Stick™ references shared media files from any networked computers and NAS devices and presents them to the playback device it’s mounted to as if the files were stored locally. Once a file is selected for playback, the Wireless Media Stick™ then streams the file via a wireless router from any PC, Laptop and NAS device. Files are not copied or moved from the original location. The capacity of the stick varies according to how many files are shared and can grow in relation to the file systems that are shared.
A simple but intuitive web based management console allows the user to easily share folders from any computer within the network. A wireless router is required for the stick to operate along with a playback device equipped with a USB port. Playback is handled by the media playback device.
Future features for the Wireless Media Stick™ will include sharing content from the internet, directly to your media playback devices.
Setup
Simply plug in the Wireless Media Stick tm to the USB port of a personal computer/laptop. The setup software begins the configuration of the device. Three easy steps and the stick is now part of your wireless network. The Wireless Media Stick™ is ready to connect to any entertainment device equipped with a USB port. Connect with a browser from any computer (MAC, Windows, Linux etc.) within your network to the IP address of the stick and share your files. New files added within the shared folders are automatically detected and shared.
The files now appear on the menu of the device.
Firmware and feature set updates for the Wireless Media Stick™ are easily downloaded from the site, making the technology platform a lasting solution for media playback.
