HSTi is approved to operate as a private postsecondary school in California based on provisions of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009. The Act is administered by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, under the Department of Consumer Affairs.
HSTi is approved by the California State approving agency to enroll veterans and other eligible persons.
HSTi is approved by the California Department of Rehabilitation to enroll eligible persons.
HSTi is approved by the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) program to enroll Military Spouses for Career Advancement Accounts Program (MyCAA).
HSTi is approved by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to be on the list of California’s Eligible Training Providers. State aid through a WIOA contract is accepted at HSTi.
CADTP is one of the organizations named in the California Administrative Code, Title 9, Section 13035, with authorization to certify individuals as alcohol or other drug counselors.
The CADTP Certification, known as the Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC) (formerly the CAODC) has been continuously nationally accredited by ICE/NCCA. The CADTP certification is approved by DHCS for counselors to work in any state-licensed or certified alcohol and drug treatment program.

The National Healthcare Association (NHA), accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), is the most prominent agency in the United States for allied health certifications. Achieving an NHA certification demonstrates expertise in the medical field and can lead to higher employment opportunities and greater remuneration. HealthStaff Training Institute is an approved NHA partner, providing on-site proctoring of certification exams for Medical Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding and Phlebotomy Technician programs.
The California Department of Health Care Services acknowledges CCAPP (California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals) as an accredited organization with the ability to register and certify Alcohol and Drug counselors in California. CCAPP is the most expansive consortium of community-based treatment agencies and professionals in the state.
CCAPP has given its approval to HealthStaff Training Institute’s Drug and Alcohol Counseling program.
PTCB, an accredited organization by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), develops and administers the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). Successfully passing this exam grants the status of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CphT), signifying to employers that the technician is competent in the field. HealthStaff Training Institute’s Pharmacy Technician Course has been approved by PTCB.
