Emphasis is placed on terminology, anatomy, and physiology as it relates to various diagnoses, medications, drug classifications, chemotherapy and antibiotic, automated drug distribution, sterile preparation, and extemporaneous compounding. Students are required to participate in a 120-hour externship in an approved hospital or pharmacy where they will perform various pharmacy functions.
